Steps to convert an Instagram personal profile to Business Profile

In order to access features that can help you grow your business on Instagram, you need to convert your personal profile to a professional account.

Follow these steps to switch your profile to a professional account:

1. Go to your profile and tap in the top-right corner.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Account.

4. Tap Switch to professional account.

5. Tap Business.

6. Tap Continue.

7. Add details, such as your business category and contact information. (You can choose not to use your contact info as well)

8. Connect your professional account to a Facebook Page associated with your business.

This step is optional, and will make it easier to use all of the features available for businesses across the Facebook family of apps. At this time, only one Facebook Page can be connected to your professional account.

9. Tap Done or Next

Your Professional account is now ready to use, This is how it will look like once the setup is complete.

After set up is complete, you can choose to display or hide your business category and contact information on your profile.

1. Go to your profile

2. Tap Edit profile.

3. Go to Profile display under Public business information

4. Choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info.

5. Tap Done.
